Hillary Rodham Romney – Keep Your Eye On O’Malley

VIDEO interview with Steny Hoyer…

Boy – the riots in Baltimore clearly show how successful Martin O’Malley was when he governed, huh?

Either the problems in Baltimore are the result of the current leadership – Black, Progressive Democrats or go back much further than that to when O’Malley was in charge – white, but still Progressive and Democrat!    Anyone see a pattern here?

Could it be that teaching folks to be dependent on Government is the problem? How many cities (and states for that matter) must collapse before Democrats get the message???

North Carolina Seeks To Prevent Federal Gun Control

North Carolina Legislature Seeks to Prevent Federal Gun Control

Posted: 20 Apr 2015 04:18 PM PDT

The rights of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. A well regulated militia, composed of the body of people, trained to arms, is the best and most natural defense of a free country. – James Madison, I Annals of Congress 434, June 8, 1789

The Constitution shall never be construed to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms. Samuel Adams, Massachusetts Ratifying Convention, 1788
The federal government (fedgov) continues to ignore the United States Constitution in order to centralize all power in the hands of the federal bureaucracy. The effort by national politicians and fedgov bureaucrats to obliterate the Tenth Amendment of the United States Constitution is a never-ending power grab to bring the states under federal control and eradicate individual liberty. The power grab is never more evident than the attempt by the Obama administration to implement gun control regulations that will apply to the people and make it the responsibility of the states to enforce the regulations.

The Second Amendment is being shredded by the Obama administration, but some states like North Carolina are refusing to allow the fedgov to infringe on the rights of its citizens to keep and bear arms. Representatives Mitchell Setzer and Jay Adams of the North Carolina legislature have introduced House Bill 886 titled: Second Amendment Preservation Act. The purpose of the proposed law is to preserve the people’s right to bear arms by instructing all state agencies and law enforcement departments not to enforce federal gun control regulations. The proposed law makes it clear that “a federal law, including a statute, an executive, administrative, or court order, or a rule, that infringes on a law-abiding citizen’s right to keep and bear arms under the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution or Section 30 of Article I of the North Carolina Constitution, is invalid and not enforceable in this State.” The proposed law explains the any federal law that infringes on a law-abiding citizen’s right to keep and bear arms includes a law that does any of the following:

  1. Imposes a tax, fee, or stamp on a firearm, firearm accessory, or firearm ammunition that is not common to all other goods and services may be reasonably expected to create a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by a law-abiding citizen.
  2.  Requires the registration or tracking of a firearm, firearm accessory, or firearm ammunition or the owners of those items that may be reasonably expected to create a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by a law-abiding citizen.
  3.  Prohibits the possession, ownership, use, or transfer of a firearm, firearm accessory, or firearm ammunition by a law-abiding citizen.
  4. Orders the confiscation of a firearm, firearm accessory, or firearm ammunition from a law-abiding citizen.

This proposed law is exactly what North Carolina needs to do to protect its citizens from the federal government. The law sends a message to the Obama administration and fedgov bureaucrats that North Carolina is not going to sit back and allow the federal government to deny its citizens their constitutional rights. It is a necessary step that should be taken by every state to protect its citizens against government tyranny..

Do Not Let NC Legislators Give Drivers Permits To Illegals

NC HB328 will give legal driving permits to ILLEGAL immigrant workers who are displacing NC workers and driving down their wages. It is also an enormous and corrupt rip off of NC taxpayers to benefit special interests using illegal immigrant labor.

According to the Heritage Foundation, unlawful immigrant households use over $14,000 in benefits and services MORE THAN their tax contributions from all sources–sales taxes, income, and all others. This cost disproportionately burdens state and local governments. This bill not only hurts NC workers, it is an assault on NC taxpayers to benefit the special interest users of illegal immigrant labor. The Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform estimates the fiscal cost of illegal immigration is nearly $2.0 billion per year, equivalent to about 10 percent of the NC State budget. The cost to North Carolina workers is probably greater. According to Harvard Labor Economist George Borjas, cheap immigrant labor cost to U.S. workers in depressed wages is well over $2,000 per worker per year. The real income of American workers has not progressed for 15 years. In the last ten years, the entire net growth of jobs in the U.S. has gone to foreign workers, while native-born workers have suffered a net loss. (Edward Rubenstein Economic Research, and others.)

The illegal immigrants typically employed by these special interests also have a much higher incidence of DUI traffic incidents. Giving illegal immigrants drivers permits and drivers training ATTRACTS MORE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, offsetting any possible benefit to public safety.  Calling HB328 anything related to public safety is an outrageous deception. This is a special interest sponsored bill, which will hurt NC workers and taxpayers, and is essentially a taxpayer subsidy for those employers who hire illegal immigrant workers.

HB328 turns to the very concept of law and honest legislation on its head. We need to stop it immediately and remember how legislators voted on this in the 2016 primaries and general election.

In the November 2014 elections, Oregon referendum  voters rejected drivers permits for illegal immigrants by a two to one vote, despite large sums of special interest money spent to pass it.

Please contact your legislators and and the House Committee members below.

Please distribute this widely to your NC lists. I am sending this to all my lists.

The House Committee meets Wednesday.  You can bet the special interests will be there with promises of big campaign finance help.  We must offset that with emails, tweets, and phone calls.

See alert from Merlin below. Don’t let special interest allies in the legislature sneak this past the voters.  Act immediately.

These Things I Believe – Lyn Nofziger

“These things I believe:
That government should butt out.
That freedom is our most precious commodity and
if we are not eternally vigilant, government will take it all away.
That individual freedom demands individual responsibility.
That government is not a necessary good but an unavoidable evil.
That the executive branch has grown too strong,
the judicial branch too arrogant
and the legislative branch too stupid.
That political parties have become close to meaningless.
That government should work to insure the rights of the individual,
not plot to take them away.
That government should provide for the national defense
and work to insure domestic tranquillity.
That foreign trade should be fair rather than free.
That America should be wary of foreign entanglements.
That the tree of liberty needs to be watered from time to time
with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That guns do more than protect us from criminals;
more importantly, they protect us from the ongoing threat of government.
That states are the bulwark of our freedom.
That states should have the right to secede from the Union.
That once a year we should hang someone in government
as an example to his fellows.”
